PREVAILING WEATHER SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED HAZARDS COMMODITY FARMING SYSTEM STAGE ADAPTATION TO FIVE (5) DAY WEATHER FORECAST
Tilapia Cage Grow-out, Hatchery, Nursery

• Conduct normal daily farm operation.
• Stop/suspend stocking, dispersal and acclimatization if dissolved oxygen (DO) level in lake is low.
• Reduce amount of feeds or stop feeding if fish was observed to be not actively feeding and slow moving.

• Continue all scheduled farm activities with close monitoring on weather and water condition.
• Reduce feeding frequency and amount of feeds, or totally suspend feeding, if the fish was observed to have poor appetite.

• Suspend/postpone liming, pesticide, and fertilizer application.
• Proceed with feeding but with keen observation on fish behavior due to possible negative effect of low water temperature and low dissolved oxygen DO) level.
